Highway 23 Coalition / May 13, 2021
WILLMAR, Minn. -- On Friday, May 14th, the Highway 23 Coalition will be holding its General Membership Annual Meeting via Zoom. This event will feature U.S. Representative Michelle Fishbach as the guest speaker.
Michelle Fishbach grew up in Woodbury, MN. She is an attorney and politician. Fishbach was elected to the Minnesota Senate in 1996 where she served for 22 years and became the first female president of the MN Senate. In 2018 after Governor Mark Dayton appointed his Lt. Governor Tina Smith to the U.S. Senate, Fishbach ascended as Lt. Governor. In November 2020, Fishbach defeated incumbent Rep. Collin Peterson to become the United States Representative from Minnesota’s 7th congressional district. Fishbach and her husband Scott reside in Regal not too far from MN Highway 23.

The Hwy 23 Coalition is a public-private partnership with over 90 members that encourages MnDOT and the State of Minnesota to fund safety and capacity improvements to Highway 23.
